Good Hope Elementary School is one of eight elementary schools in the Perris Elementary School District. The school was built in 1962 and has great historical significance for the city of Perris. Good Hope serves students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in a suburban/rural area. The current enrollment is over 650 students. Good Hope operates on a modified traditional schedule.
Our instructional focus areas are centered around direct instruction, student engagement, and increasing rigor. Direct instruction is the method in which the standards are taught and transferred to student learning. Student engagement focuses on developing the confidence of the student's ability to make meaning and succeed with academic tasks. Increasing the rigor or complexity of the learning will help to meet the learner at his/her individual level while continuing to challenge the student to demonstrate understanding of his/her learning.
